4th Class, 5th of March.

Today, Miss Nilam walked in the class with a roll of mahjong paper and a bag of marker pen. We were wondering what are those for. So turn out, we were asked to do a short presentation on how to build the most luxurious 5-star hotel in Malaysia. We were divided in our own groups, mainly 3 to 5 people. But ours was a little special, we had 7 people in our group. Haha. Because those that came in late to class came and join our group.
Ms Nilam gave each group two piece of mahjong paper and two marker pen. Later on, she gave us a paper on the requirements and details that are needed for the hotel. The budget was initially RM50million, then she later raise it to RM100million because many students complain that it wasn’t enough. Our task was to build the most luxurious 5-star hotel in Malaysia with a RM100million, think of a name, location and explain on the design.
We were very excited in this activity, because we never really thought of building a hotel before. After a whole lot of discussion with different opinions, we decided that our hotel will be named Penell, is a combination of sea turtle ( Penyu ) and our restaurant shaped seashell. Our hotel will be built by the beach, so that customers could enjoy a great view and we also decided to have a restaurant under the sea. It is extended from the lower ground of the hotel into the sea, with a seashell shape. So that customers could have a different kind of experience while dinning in the restaurant. Besides that, we provide everything that is required to make our customers happy and feeling satisfied for staying in our hotel.
We had a great experience during this class. Learnt so many new things and actually thought about things we never thought before. Thanks Miss Nilam for organizing this lesson for us. Really appreciate.

Thank you =)

Third Class, 26th of February.

Today, is just an ordinary day, having our English class with Miss Nilam. Our topic today was Work and Fun. There was many question asked by miss Nilam in class, and many different answers and opinion. Later on, we were told to form a group of 3 – 4 members to chart out how are we going to live in KL with a salary of RM2500 only. And also to prove is this possible?

We made it possible. RM2500 is enough for a person to live in KL.  The list of things goes like this :-
-          Room rental, RM400
-          Public Transport, RM60
-          Entertainment, RM400
-          Daily use (eg. Shampoo, toothpaste ), RM100
-          Pet, RM10
-          Boyfriend, RM200
-          Fixed Deposit, RM250
-          Bills, RM150
-          Emergency money, RM250.
-          Food, RM600
-          Insurance, RM80.

Besides that, we would like to talk about something different today. There are so many activities we do in our daily life. Some activities is a waste of time and some could be paid for someone else to do it for us. But it also depends on if there’s extra money for this. We discussed about this, and decided we would pay someone to do our house chores for us. A part time maid perhaps. The reason is because it will save us so much time and could keep the house clean at the same time. Maids do their jobs better than we do. Haha. We get lazy sometimes and ignore house chores, and sometimes come up with a hundred of excuses not to do house chores. So, a part time maid who will come twice or thrice a week would be the best person to pay to do our activity!

That’s all for today.
Thanks for reading.
